I've been riding recumbents for about ten years starting with the notoriously bad Blackbent which I bought via the internet on a whim without ever having ridden a bent before. That tiny unbranded Chinese front wheel under my knees scared me going down Old Mill Road and I upgraded to a Bikee RX. I rode several GOBA's on that one, and a third GOBA on a Bikee E2 tandem with my daughter. I then switched to tadpole trikes starting with a 2002 Greenspeed GTO (with terrible Hope hydraulic brakes) then a 2005 Catrike Road, a Challenge Concept and my current keeper, a Challenge Alize. My wife and I ride an Organic Engines Troika tandem tadpole, too.
I'm an avid cyclotourist: I recently completed circling all five Great Lakes and I've also ridden the Southern NYS Tier route. Someday, I will ride the Northern Tier TransAm! You can search for my blogs on the CrazyGuyOnABike.com website.
